Welcome to Studio Beag
Where pottery isn’t just pottery. It’s personality, captured in clay. Each piece is handmade slowly in the South East of Ireland, never mass-produced, never the same twice. There’s a kind of quiet magic here: a character filled mug that makes your morning better, a bowl that turns cereal into a quiet time just for you. These aren’t just objects; they’re companions for your everyday. Small batches drop monthly when inspiration strikes. When they're gone, they’re gone. So if something sparks joy, don’t wait. It was probably made for you.
About The Maker
Hi, I'm Nicole—the one-woman whirlwind behind Studio Beag. I make every single piece by hand from my little home studio, usually with clay on my jeans, tea within reach, and a fairy audiobook humming in the background.
I started Studio Beag as a way to bring more play and personality into the everyday, because I believe the objects we use every day should make us feel something. Joy, calm, mischief, nostalgia… even if it's just from a mug that looks like it might judge your life choices.
The name Beag (it means “small” in Irish) reminds me to stay rooted in the little things: small moments, small batches, small joys. That’s what I try to pass on through every piece that leaves my studio.
Thanks for being here. I’m so glad our paths crossed.

Upcoming Markets and Events
I started making pots in 2022 in a cramped utility room with just a wheel, a handmade wedging table and a healthy fear of silicosis.
From the moment I first touched clay, I completely fell in love and knew there was no going back — especially turning it into functional pieces with a bit of personality .
Now I work out of my very own home studio, where I design, make, fire, and pack every piece by hand.
Studio Beag is all about playful, handmade ceramics that make the everyday feel a little more special.
